#1 VIENNA – the world’s most liveable City

Vienna remained at the top of the Quality of Living Rankings in 2015 according to the Mercer Studies.

“Vienna has the world’s best quality of living, according to the Mercer 2015 Quality of Living rankings. Overall, European cities dominate the top of the ranking along with major cities in Australia and New Zealand. Zurich, Auckland, and Munich are in second, third, and fourth places respectively. In fifth place, Vancouver is the highest-ranking city in North America and the region’s only city in the top 10. Singapore (26) is the highest-ranking Asian city, whereas Dubai (74) ranks first across the Middle East and Africa. Montevideo in Uruguay (78) takes the top spot for South America.” (Source Mercer 2015 Studies)

Integrative Sustainable City Solutions

Within two days of our Forum, Conference & B2B Meetings international experts discussed Integrative Sustainable City Solutions in Smartcity Vienna.

We were honored to welcome Ambassador Emine Birnur Fertekligil, Permanent Mission of Turkey for United Nations Office in Vienna, who opened our Conference. The 4th WSEF welcomed as well Mr. Kursad Tuzmen, former Minister of Foreign Trade and Customs of Turkey, who referred to Sustainable Trade Development.

We were pleased to introduce Mr. Illac Diaz, the founder of A Liter of Light – MyShelter Foundation as TED Speaker at our Conference, who is taking sustainable building solutions to low-cost infrastructures. We welcomed as well several representatives of universities, authorities and companies from the international energy and environmental sectors.

A forum about sustainability in Vienna

Enerji Günlüğü – World Sustainable Energy Forum 2-4 June 2013 – in Vienna, the smartest City in the World

The aim of this event in historical Hofburg Palace is to transfer the know-how from developed countries into the developing countries. Reviesta Consulting Group, the organisator of this forum, mentiones the ambition to expand these technologies to the whole world. According to the company’s press statement 40 countries will support this event! WSEF 2013 will welcome participants from industry and trade, universities, political decision makers municipalities, representatives of authorities, suppliers, planers, constructors and operating companies of pertinent products or plants, – Lobbies.

UN REPORT: Vienna – the most sustainable and prosperous City in the world

A new report from the United Nations Human Settlements Program (U.N.-Habitat) ranks Vienna – Austria’s capital – as first in productivity, quality of life, infrastructure development, equity and social inclusion, and environmental sustainability / City Prosperity Index (CPI) 2012/2013.
